First things first. I’ve printed out some Sabre Defense platforms with my 3D printer

And primed them:

Next, I’ve put together four Imperial Knights for the next 1850pts tournament I am entering. I based their paint scheme on the Lannister armour from Game of Thrones.

So I threw together some cracked mud bases for my Death Korps of Krieg.
- Paint a lumpy surface of Liquitex Resin Sand across the entire top of the base and let fully dry.
- Paint over the entire top of the lumpy surface with a dark color.
- Dump 3 FULL medium brush loads of Citadel Agrellan Earth onto the base and spread evenly. (This is something like 15 layers of paint all at once, do NOT scrimp on the paint here.)
- Using a heat gun on it’s low setting, slowly move the heat across the base until a “Jell-O Pudding”-skin forms.
- Once the skin forms, move the heat gun in and apply directly until the cracking you want is desired.
- Paint/dry-brush as desired.

I also got some actual painting done on my Death Korps ladies. (Yes mine are ladies.)

Sorry about the lack of updates. Been dealing with a family hospitalization and home care. On top of that I went back to Ohio for a four day weekend to participate in a LARP.
Yesterday I was sitting there and thinking that my Sisters army was missing something so I figured that since the rest of the army is mechanized, I would put my Ogrynas into a tank as well. Three more hull points for 18 wounds for not that many points seems like a good purchase to me.
So I went over to HobbyTown and picked up a Chimera. I put it together last night and I plan on finishing the green-stuff work on the behemoths soon.
I got my Ogryn (Ogres) in the post today. I am really looking forward to shaving off the beards and adding gas masks and getting the Death Korps of Krieg look just right.
My plan is pretty simple: Greenstuff, plasticard, bass guitar strings, ??? and profit.
These are not mine but this is essentially the plan:

Here I am in my first match against Michael getting my derriere given to me on a platter. It was a was either a major victory or a massacre, I truly can’t remember but I learned a lot and got an idea from his army (more on that later).
Here we are on day two. You can see my half painted army in the bottom left.
At the end of the tournament, I had 1 loss, 1 draw, and 2 wins. Very fun and very informative. Thanks again, Will, and everyone over there at HobbyTown. It was great seeing everyone and getting to test out my new list.
So playing in my first game I came up against a player with lots of Daemon Spawn. Freaking toughness 6 spawn. I had never gone up against such things and the way they were modeled (Fantasy dryads ripping out of the backs of Ogryns) was plainly just ridiculous (in a good way).
So I think I’m gonna try my hand at a little conversion and kit-bashing again. The idea behind my Sister of Battle with IG allies army is that they are all females (event Jacobus has been converted) so I just picked up a box of Warhammer Fantasy Orges and, that’s right, I’m gonna put gas masks and boobs on them. On top on that, I’m gonna try to put some Ork weapons on the fantasy models as the guns the Orks use are essentially stolen anyways; this will be a bit of Ogryn payback.
I mean… They already have moobs, how far of a stretch is this gonna be?
I may have spoke too soon…
Going to a 1500 point game on March 23rd. Decided to finish out my army list with a sergeant who wields a power sword, plasma pistol and melta bombs.
I used parts from my Assault Marines bitz bin.

Based on what some folks on Facebook told me, I shaved down the hands quite a bit and I’m adding a picture from the back to show how the melta bomb sits above the backpack. As I told the same folks on Facebook, I like the over-sized weapons (plasma gun and melta bomb) on the figure but the hands did need to get shaved.

Put together one of my Death Korps of Krieg Mortar teams tonight

My IG allies progress so far:
Today I received my Forge World shipment!

I got the HQ Command Squad put together tonight as well as one of the Thudd Gun crew to play as my Master of Ordnance. I will have to gussy the MoO up a bit to give her some gusto!

Just so everyone knows, I plan on sporting the Death Korp as an all female allied attachment for my Sisters of Battle army list. I will most likely green stuff some breasts to some of the models, albeit small ones, to add at least the hint of femininity to the army. I know that some folks look down on that. But you know what? I don’t care, it’s my army and I’ll add breasts if I want to!
